Great little local business. Family run, friendly staff. Home-made sauces and spices. Good fresh veggies for wraps, wrap pita isn't too thick, good garlic sauce. They can take custom orders if you have dietary preferences. Poutine and Chicken Shawarma was very good. Garlic sauce is tasty.Takes Credit, debt and cash.Tables are nicely spread out. Good selection of non alcoholic beverages.Is located on ground floor but doesn't have an electric door for wheel chair, light switch for washroom was also about 5 ft up the wall.Staff was very attentive and can offer environmentally conscious cardboard take out containers upon request.Very tasty Pita chips available with other purchase.Street parking and limited about 3 cars behind building in the lot available for customers.

Super friendly service - you feel at home. Try a Rani drink, they're super yummy. We had the Donair and falafel platter and they were both very good and fresh! Awesome hummus and fresh pita. My husband loved his Donair meat and the portions were filling. I won't hesitate to come back. Its awesome to have so many new and quality eateries pop up in the West End!

Best shawarma that I’ve had in Winnipeg by far. Everything we had was delicious! The restaurant even called me to ensure that my order was right, and they included additional toppings on my pita at no extra charge. Their garlic sauce was excellent. We will definitely be ordering from here again!

Friends Donair and Shawarma
Went here the other day after searching for Winnipeg’s best Shawarma & it did not disappoint. From the second I walked in I felt welcomed by the staff & my anxiety about ordering food went away. The food was amazing! Great flavours! Definitely my new favourite place to eat. 1000/10 would recommend!

First time ordering with them and its amazing! Great portions. :) yummy shawarma & the beef on the rocks is yummy too!! Will definitely order again.The owner was also very friendly, he called us to say thanks for supporting his business and that our order was on its way.Talk about a white glove service! Customer service at its finest! Thank you for going above and beyond. :)

Got the mixed shawarma plate halal and it was amazing. Everything was so delicious, the garlic sauce was so smooth and savoury. Do yourself a favour and get the pita chips, they are yummy both by themselves and used for dipping in the hummus and garlic sauce.

I like to support local small business, and I like to order close to work and try something new every once in a while. Friends Donair was within the first 5 restaurants on the Skip app, so I thought I would give it a try. FANTASTIC is all I got to say.Firstly, I got a call right after I ordered, from the owner, (I assume) Thanking me for the order and the tip. Now if that isn't great customer service, I don't know what you would call it then. They just won a repeat customer because of that!Second, the food was great! Ordered a Donair Plate, came loaded with meat. Rice, potatoes, hummus, salad, and a thin pita, well worth the price.

Order this one through Skip! I don’t have Shawarma often so I decided on somewhere different. The portions are great, you’ll definitely get your fill while enjoying delicious flavours. Add some pita chips for a little crunch to your day
